Debates

Introduction

The world of green development, business, and policymaking currently revolves around a set of key debates: How much to spend? Cap and trade or carbon tax? What kinds of business models can drive efficiency investment in the building sector? Which biofuel is best? How feasible is the net zero energy building? and many others.

This page provides the beginning of a gathering point for these key debates. Each link leads to an existing "debate" page intended to lay out and aggregate relevant information (such as decision factors and pro and con arguments) needed by businessmen choosing investment paths or policy makers choosing policy models to back. Debate pages also provide links to more detailed information contained in wiki pages within the Innovation, Regulation, Roadmapping, and Models sections.

As with all user-edited wiki pages on this site, users are invited to add debate topics below by creating new debate pages, and to modify or add information to existing pages as new developments in research or business models occur or policy understandings evolve. Debate topic can be quite wide-ranging, covering policy or business model debates, debates over best development paths or time to viability for key technologies, or any other topic of contention in the field.

This article is intended to serve as a portal for aggregation of related topics. This list should not be considered complete. Editors are encouraged to add relevant topics or view, expand, and modify existing topics.
